Doug’s passion for aviation began at an early age…
...After earning a master's degree and briefly working in physical therapy, he finally pursued his dream career in aviation. He retired in 2019 after more than 21 years of military service as a Naval Aviator, flying the F/A-18 Hornet.
Following his military career, Doug transitioned to commercial aviation, gaining worldwide experience as a Captain and First Officer on the Boeing 737, Airbus A300-310, and McDonnell Douglas MD-11. He has also flown a variety of light civil aircraft and has owned both Piper and Cessna models. In addition, he is a CFII and a volunteer FAASTeam Representative through the Memphis FSDO.
Doug’s extensive aviation knowledge and dedication to finding the right aircraft for every mission make him a valuable asset to the Weber Aviation team. He splits his time between Virginia Beach, VA, and Memphis, TN, with his wife, Kara. He has two daughters—one is a pilot at Auburn University, and the other is studying marketing at Ole Miss.
